On 'Learning'

Some of us have very good memory while some don't. Those who have good memory have tapped into the power of the mind & know how to make full use of it.
Sad to say, normally in school students spend 11 years learning but most never been taught the art of learning (eg: how to have good memory).
You can never change the past but you can decide on your future. Read something on 'learning skills' immediately! Before you start learning, learn how to learn!

The Polling Result

After for about a month, below is the result of the vote on "Is the food sold at our canteen is EXPENSIVE?"
Yes: 85%
No: 0%
Don't Know: 15%
Not An Issue: 0%
I managed to show this result to our Pengetua. He told me that there is a change after being advised - the price is much lower now compared to before. Do you agree? He suggested a new poll. So please vote.

The Jamming Session

Although tried very hard, I couldn't get Cikgu Sahrul (as promised) for the jamming session. He must be very busy with his PTK & preparing for a show in Kelana Jaya - opening ceremony of the SAHOCA building.
So sorry guys. We'll try it next time...

The Multimedia Communication Act 1998

Six people were charged on 13/03/09 with posting offensive comments insulting the Sultan of Perak on the Internet - the first such case in the country. They were charged here, in Petaling Jaya, Kota Kinabalu and Butterworth under the Multimedia Communication Act 1998 for unwise use of network or network services for making comments, demands, suggestions or communication which are vulgar, false, threatening or disturbing. It carries a fine of up to RM50,000 or one year jail or both upon conviction.

The SPM Results

ICT Seniors: Seven are 2007 - 2008 & Two are 2008 - 2009
The SPM result which was announced on Thursday (12/03/09) showed that it was the best result ever achieved by KSAH. Congratulations!!!
As for the ICT subject, it was also the best so far. Out of 12 students who took ICT, four got 1A, five got 2A, two got 4B & one got 5C. We should be happy too, but not to be carried away - the result is not achieved by you guys but by your seniors.
Although I'm very happy, it is not a total happiness. I regretted 'coz I think out of the three who didn't get "A", one of them should get a better result.
Thinking back, I know why that student didn't get "A". He didn't pay attention. When I'm teaching, he will on the computer & started doing something. When I 'mare' he pretended to pay attention. A few minutes later, he repeated the 'not paying attention'.
A little reminder:
I can see that a few of you guys are doing the same thing. If you noticed, I will do my teaching for only not more than 30 minutes. So, for that short time, please concentrate (that is my time with you guys - respect it).

What is Holiday?

Hooray... holidays started.
What will you be doing the whole week? What does the holiday mean to you? For me, it is just not coming to school officially (7.30am - 2.10pm). Your daily routines (as a student) should go on - reading, revisions, homework, assignments etc.
The time is running short. Your SPM exam is just at the corner. Do the routines in a very happy relaxing way/approach. You love them, they will love you & you won't regret doing so...
Happy holidays guys!
p/s:
I got to go to school to prepare the new school timetable.

Cikgu Siti Bashiriyah Mohd Hanipah

Cikgu Siti Bashiriyah in her early days at SAHC

Minggu ini juga merupakan minggu terakhir Cikgu Siti Bashiriyah Mohd Hanipah (Cikgu Siti or Kak Siti among staff) bertugas sebagai guru. Beliau akan bersara mulai 17 Mac 2009. Cikgu Siti merupakan orang lama di KSAH.
Personally:
1. I think we will miss her.
2. It is a great lost to KSAH - as she is among the best teacher in KSAH.

We wish her the best & good health.
